Is Ozzie Guillen good fit for Angels, Dodgers?

08:03 AM ET 05.11 | Ozzie Guillen is back in Chicago these days, based out of his Bucktown home after a tumultuous year with the Marlins. He wants to manage again, and surprisingly, two decent opportunities are on the verge of presenting themselves only six weeks into the season. The Angels and Dodgers might make changes before Memorial Day, possibly even by next week if their teams don't get turned around. Either organization could give Guillen an unbelievably good chance to restore his good name after the misguided power play he made on Jerry Reinsdorf, and Guillen might be as strong a candidate -- at least in the short term -- as they could find. Guillen is an excellent manager. His teams consistently win more games than their talent level suggests they should (plus-19 in Pythagorean standings over his eight years with the White Sox). It's easy to picture him getting a bump out of the Dodgers or Angels, should changes be made. But will he get a chance? Restoring his reputation will be a huge battle for Guillen. He might not be ready to get back in the dugout if the information I got Friday was correct.

If this were to happen, it could make for some mighty fine entertainment.

The cubs would be the right team for Guillen, the team has many alikes to the marlins, after all it could help Guillen safe reputation and why not?

Sure, it would be funny. The press interviews after the games....I like it. do it!

Seeing as he loves him so much from past pressers, I'd say Guillen's best fit would be as Fidel Castro's Cabana Boy

I agree... and I know of a couple of fragile ego's who would provide us with all sorts of entertainment.

Don't let him anywhere near my team; but I do miss Ozzie and the entertainment he provides.

I thought he was going to run the Cuban National team?

Restore his reputation? Is that to imply that at some point he had a good reputation? Been following baseball long enough to remember when this guy was a rookie SS. He mouthed off back then too...

Ozzie shoul go back and continue what he did last year. Stay out of MLB

May 12, 2013  09:07 AM ET

I bet Ozzie will take that Pythagorean formula with him to the interview.

If those teams think they have problems now....hire Ozzie. A total **** clown.

It would be nice if the Dodgers hired Ozzie... I would hope they would have dugout cams to enhance the ratings... Might be more entertaining that the field???
