06:50 PM ET 05.11 | Marrone is both intrigued by Rogers, and concerned by the player's past. ``It's a one-shot deal,'' Marrone said during a conference call with Bills season-ticket holders last week. ``Either you've learned your lesson and you've grown up and you're going to go forward and mature, or you haven't learned your lesson and you're going to be out on the street. It's that simple.'' It's a message the coach has shared with Rogers. ``It's all on you, and you have to make the right decisions,'' Marrone said following practice Friday.

Wouldn't it have seemed right for Da'Rick to go to Da'Bears?

One shot really means 12 but who's counting?

Only if the guy produces on the field. Otherwise they don't know him when the cops call.

All I could find is he failed 3 drug tests and that is why he was suspended at Tenn. Heck, there were guys drafted that failed the test at the combine drug testing. A player drafted who failed at least 10 tests in college that he admitted to.

Not sure how this guy is any different.

I get the feeling there's something else we don't know about. This kid obviously has talent yet he went undrafted. I would agree that Tyrann Matthieu has a worse history and he was drafted. I find it hard to believe that just failing three drug tests would lead you a player of this caliber not being drafted.

It doesn't appear as if he has had any trouble with the law so if he can clean up his act and not do what Justin Blackmon (Jags) did and he might have a future. If he thinks the Bills are bluffing, maybe he should go 'google' Titus Young and Cliff Harris.

Looks that way. If it was just about 3 failed drug tests, a lot of the guys drafted would have be passed by.

It could mean the number of times they are willing to allow him to be caught with a loaded firearm at Buffalo training facilities.

They should keep a mugshot of O.J. Simpson in his prison orange jumpsuit in the locker room as a reminder of what could happen to him if he doesn't straighten out his life. I hear O.J. who is 65 yrs old wants to appeal his sentencing, claiming he only admitted to the crime because his lawyer told him the judge would give him a lighter sentence. Most people are hoping he spends the rest of his life in prison, unless he lives till the age of 90.

Tyrann Mathieu had a catchy nickname " Honey Badger " and a good agent that kept Tyrann in ESPN and NFL Network studios right before the draft preaching to potential teams how he is now drug free and on the right path. Rogers himself was considered a late 2nd - early 3rd round choice for awhile.
