Tyson Chandler rips Knicks' defensive effort

09:30 AM ET 05.12 | Upset with a slew of aspects in the Knicks' Game 3 debacle last night, Tyson Chandler sounded off, declaring his team abandoned the gameplan on defending Roy Hibbert, isn't rebounding collectively and is "playing as individuals" on offense. Chandler, too, played poorly in the Knicks' ugly 82-71 loss to the Pacers at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. The All-Star center scored a respectable nine points and did block three shots. But he pulled down only five rebounds in 30 minutes and was far outplayed by Hibbert, the Pacers center who delivered 24 points and 12 rebounds. Chandler clearly must play better against Hibbert, which is a sentiment Mike Woodson had expressed after Game 1. But Chandler said a problem with Hibbert last night was, "We didn't follow the gameplan." Pressed on it, Chandler said, "We just didn't follow the gameplan." He later admitted, "We never got to trap" Hibbert, which is something Raymond Felton said, too.

QUOTE(#4):

What a difference a year makes.I recently asked JGB if there was something ailing Tyson because he has been, in a word, putrid this post season.

I believe he missed the last 4-5 games of the reg season. He's clearly not healthy and didn't forget how to play in the last month or so.

Tyson "Chicken" Chandler is living in Bizarro World. He is the one who had 5, FIVE rebounds.

That was a bad game last night. You could tell in the first quarter there was no energy at all and the offense had zero flow. The ball didn't move and Carmelo was in one on one mode because of it. Did anyone see Raymond Felton cause boy, was he missing in action last night. Absolutely invisible! What a time to have a game like that. Woodson must be livid with the effort.

I have to assume Chandlers hurt. He didn't forget how to play. That bulging disk in his neck must be hurting him.
