05:35 PM ET 05.12 | As the football season continues to inch closer and closer, the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback situation is one of the hottest topics being discussed here in Philadelphia. Questions arise on if and how Michael Vick will fit into this new Chip Kelly offense. At age 32, Vick is getting a bit closer to the end of his career, so this season, he has to make the most of it. In all four of his years as an Eagle, he has yet to play all 16 games. In 2010, Vick had a breakout season. He played in 12 games, completing 233/372 passes, with a 62.6 completing percentage. Vick threw for 3,018 yards and 21 touchdowns. Since then, things went downhill. Vick began turning the ball over, throwing a combined 21 interceptions in 2011 and 2012. But this year, things are different. The Eagles are now a refreshed, newly energized team. Philadelphia made some nice additions and brought in a new head coach, Chip Kelly. With Chip Kelly's new fast-paced, unique offense, and his totally new play-making ability, this just might be perfect for Vick to succeed.

Can we play one down of the exhibition season before we ask this question? He hasn't even played a down for the Kelly yet and they're saying this might be his best season yet. Seems to me they've been asking that same question for years now and every year the answer ends up being a resounding no. There's a reason the beer vendors always have an eye on the field when the Eagles are on offense and it's not to root for the Eagles. It's to make sure they don't get nailed with an errant pass.

He still has to stay healthy.

I am thinking Vick deserves the opportunity. I am thinking Kelly's seating char will undergo changes before Barkley takes the Eagles into the first playoff game this year.

I could see it happening.

Then again I thought that last year, too.

Barkley? Playoffs?

That'd be something.

We may find that the Eagles are headed in the right direction this year, but they aren't making the playoffs. Slow your roll.

"the Kelly" is now an adjective that describes a style of play where the QB throws, runs and gets hit often. Fun to watch because fans get to see several different QBs per game.

The Question is, will he stay healthy!!!!!!!

He may be but according to the article just before this one, Matt Barkley is already slated to take his job. Good! Dog torturer and killer.

A bigger question is "will the players play for him ?"

A bigger question is, "will Karma finally catch up to Vick re: the dogs he slaughtered, manifesting itself in his decapitation during a nationally-broadcast game?"

And make better decisions.

They need to improve the OL, it isn't all on Vick's shoulders.
