05:39 PM ET 05.12 | The Big 12 expects to pay somewhere between $22 and $25 million to each of its member institutions for the 2012-13 season, according to league sources. If accurate, it won't quite match what the Big Ten is expected to dole out, but the Big 12 does not have a television network to boost its revenues like the Big Ten does. But Big 12 sources say the $22-$25 million estimate may be a conservative one; the final figures will be announced during the league's spring meetings at the end of the month.

Pretty good without a network.

But think of what it could have been if only one B12 school would have proposed a 365 day 24/7 cable network like the B10 Network. And if no other schools in the B12 wanted any part of it, the school that built it might have been able to sell it to a bigger cable network. They might have been able to get upwards to 300 million for it. Oh, the things that could've been if only one school.......but yeah, you're right-- pretty good without a network.

...and if you are the one who took advantage of that, TV payout totals about $36-40m

Hiya Guido - spent the weekend in your lovely Southlake environs, snatching the HS Girls' Lacrosse title home to Houston. Enjoyed a beautiful Sunday afternoon around the Main Street area, had lunch at Mi Cucina. The fields and facilities at North Park Fields are tremendous, I was greatly impressed.

Congrats on the title.

Glad you had a good time. I switched on you and went south to Austin for baseball. Been an unbelievable year for mid-cities bsb teams, with Southlake, Colleyville, Grapevine, Fossil Ridge and Bell all advancing.

Good luck to all your teams.

It was amazing to see how fast these girls could get their postgame pics posted to FB, Instagram, etc. -- I thought I was pretty fast sending pics home to Houston friends, and family in FL, but heck I was outgunned by a wide margin....

never attempt to keep up with a teen nowadays...

I grew up in Colleyville, played at Bell, and now a Dragon. Different loyalties, but hope at least one makes it to the regional final

The funniest thing about this is that ESPN will end up bundling MooTube with the SEC network in order to get it on platforms where people will be able to watch it.
