06:57 AM ET 05.13 | Titus Young has caught up to Cliff Harris in an unfortunate category, one dealing with the law over the past month. People close to [Young] had been urging him to seek help in recent weeks. Instead, the troubled former Lions receiver found more trouble. Young, the former Lions receiver who was released a day after the Super Bowl this year, was arrested late Friday night for the third time in less than a week, this time in San Clemente, Calif., on felony counts of burglary and assault on a police officer and a misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest. Lt. Joe Balicki of the Orange County Sheriff's Department said Young is still in jail on $75,000 bail awaiting a Monday hearing. Young, a second-round pick in 2011, was arrested twice on May 5 in Moreno Valley, Calif.

The California penal system will provide all of the tax-payer support he needs.

Crack don't smoke itself.

FN needs to update his picture. Swap out the Lions uniform for that snazzy orange number the state provides for its special guests.

The help he needs is to stay in a cell until he learns some responsibility. Burglary? Has he already spent everything he made in the NFL, and needs to resort to that?

Don't even think "it's not going to end well for Titus Young," because it's already ended.

He's got an interesting take on "cross training". Whatever his problems are (and I'm guessing they're numerous) I hope he gets his life straightened out.

I think he's been "crossed" off the list by every team in the NFL at this point. FN threads are the closest he's going to get to a football field without buying a ticket. Or breaking in.

Sad aint it??

I'm guessing he's been told his entire life, because he was good at sports, that he could get by with anything. I think those days are over. It's a shame too. If he had worked on his attitude and stayed in shape, some team would probably have offered him a chance to make the team but this guy has burned ALL his bridges now. The only league he'll be playing for now is the California Penal League.

One of my college professors had a cartoon on his office door. It said "No one is completely worthless. They can always serve as a bad example." I give you...Titus Young.

The guy was suspended almost all of his sophomore season at Boise State. He declares for the draft early. The Lions use a second round pick on him. 12 picks later the Ravens take Torrey Smith. And that is why the Ravens are the Ravens and the Lions are the Lions.

No. Some other kid who's got his act together gets a chance, while Titus Young gets a sentence and a record that will be with him forever.

To me, that's the way it should be.

What kind of "people" would be "close" to Titus Young? What exactly are they into?

You can't teach stupid.

I'd be more surprised if he'd been saving for a rainy day at all...

Megatron is no where near as good at getting arrested. You win, Titus.

Is that the same as "calling for backup?"

It was a tossup as to which catch phrase to use. Both are appropriate when discussing this fool.
