07:02 AM ET 05.13 | Barely 70 points -- that's what the Knicks were up to in Game 3. After winning their first three playoff games against the Boston Celtics, the Knicks have lost four of their last six and their once high-powered offense has sputtered. ... In producing those 71 points, they made just three of 11 3-pointers, which were season lows in both categories. "Honestly, we're doing it to ourselves," [Tyson Chandler] said on Sunday. "I watched the tape myself and there are open looks. We have to be willing passers. You have to sacrifice yourself sometimes for the betterment of the team and for the betterment of your teammates. So when you drive in the paint and you draw, you kick it."

Keep shooting, Melo...

Keep shooting, J.R....

I thought it was always Kobe's fault.

Rest of the Knicks to Chandler: "Quit getting manhandled inside by Hibbert and then you can talk."

QUOTE(#6):

This

to be fair, nobody manhandles Dwight Howard, and he basically says the same thing about getting it inside to the big men when someone else plays iso ball.

Of course it didn't really help matters since it took an injury to Kobe for them to get the ball inside.

Man... i'm totally with you on that. That's exactly what I meant to write. Chandler is dead in this series. Hibbert has been having his way like Knicks have no big man. He Chandler needs to step up his game... everybody else is playing their part...

I wonder why Woody hasn't used Camby to slow him down... Chandler's been a ghost in this season. If he doesn't step up I won't be shocked if he's traded.

He's the reason we're down 2-1....

"I watched the tape myself and there are open looks. Sooo... Tyson wants the ball? Or is there someone in particular that he is calling out?

I agree, Chandler is pathetic... He cannot stay out of foul trouble, he cannot catch the ball and go up strong as a legitimate big man can, when he does catch the ball in the paint he always loses it by fumbling the ball and he isn't a smart player. However, he makes a good point about the selfish play in which is nothing new. ISO Melo, ISO JR Smith, dead legs Jason Kidd, slew-footed Novak and useless Camby isn't the chemistry CHAMPIONS are made of.

As I said all year long that the Knicks are a team compose of players with one foot on the court and one foot in retirement.

Chandler to Knicks players: "I'm not the only person playing like ****. I won't say any names but a certain PG, SF and 6th man are stinking up the joint as well."

What are you talking about Hibbert has had 1 good game. Game 1 - 14 point & 8 rebounds. Game 2 - 6 points & 12 rebounds. Definitely NOT manhandling anyone. One good game and everyone is jumping ship.

May 13, 2013  09:31 AM ET

*cough* Carmelo *cough* There's a reason Carmelo has never taken his game to an elite level. He's a selfish player who can jack up 30 shots to get 30 points so he can keep his scoring average up. The Pacers have figured that out and will let him keep shooting as long as the rest of the Knicks don't beat them.

While I agree with the Chandler comments about getting manhandled by Hibbert, the quote above is also the troof. It's what I've said about the Knicks all season, and why they won't be a championship contending team with that style of play. Just because you can score 30 with a bunch of shots doesn't make you a great player.

You're right, Hibbert REALLY stunk it up in game 3, too. Hibbert's averaging 15-11 a game in the series and Chandler is at 7-4. Hibbert is literally doubling up Chandler's production right now. Looks like manhandling to me!

Didn't mention it before, but you are absolute this. Knicks rely way too much on inefficient volume shooters to be able to win consistently in the playoffs. At this point, they should only be letting Smith get the ball 6-8 times a night to limit the amount of bad shots he can put up.
