07:05 AM ET 05.13 | Phil Coke landed on the DL Sunday, even though he was originally thought to be "day-to-day," and the Tigers recalled righty Jose Ortega from Class AAA Toledo. Manager Jim Leyland said the Tigers have great trainers and medical staff, but he's always disliked the term "day-to-day" because it usually turns out not to be the case. ... Leyland said control has been an issue for Ortega. "He's been 2-0 on too many guys," Leyland said. "No matter how good an arm you got, that normally doesn't work. We'll see. We'll see if can translate what he was doing down there up to the majors. If he can, that would be a big help, because he's got electric stuff."

Good news for you and Ortega the Triple A Astros are in town, so his stuff should be just fine against the worst team in the AL.

Your boys played well and fought hard -- hats off to ya. But you guys do this EVERY year, with the fast start and the precipitous decline. I'm not sure you've got the pitching staff for the long haul, but good luck to your boys.
