07:07 AM ET 05.13 | After Sunday's appearance, John Axford managed to boost his ERA up to 9.95, which isn't sitting well in Milwaukee. The fans made their voices heard again Sunday, but Brewers manager Ron Roenicke was adamant: There has been no talk of sending [Axford] to the Minors to iron things out. After an eight-game stretch in which it appeared he had moved past his early-season struggles, Axford heard boos as he left the mound Sunday for the second straight outing. ... "[Sunday] was the first time that I felt 'off' since that outing in Chicago," Axford said, referring to an April 9 loss to the Cubs. "Every time after that, I felt good. Mechanically, the ball felt good coming out."

Trade him to the Yanks, he'll have a 1.00 ERA for them.

Mr. Writer I think you are confused because the Brewers played in Cincy yesterday not at home, so why would Reds fans boo Axford.

May 13, 2013  09:43 AM ET

Axford would be happy if he could get his ERA down to 7.00

Not only that but he didn't even make an appearance yesterday.

Yes we've been booing him here, but newsflash. He didn't pitch on Sunday (yesterday). We were on the road in Cincinnati.

Axford didn't pitch Sunday in Cincy He pitched 1 ining Friday night . He only gave up 1 hit and struck out 1 hitter. not deserving a boo. What Sunday was he talking about. If they are talking about yesterday, MLB.com should look at the Schedule and do a little research before writing these T&Rs, before they look like idiots.

I clicked the link to the article. It was posted May 5 (last Sunday).

I see the interns are upholding the stellar work habits that have made FanNation the well-oiled machine you see today.

If MLB.com is talking about a different Sunday ,then be more specific what Sunday (such as a date) you were referring to.

If this was posted May 5 why did they wait a week to post this on T&R? MLB is true to form. take a long time to make a confusing decision.

So Ungrateful Poor Ax...Trade Him And His Mustache To The Yankees...I'll Be Happy to have him in their pen

Axfords had 1 or 2 good years as Brewers closer. I don,t know what happened, nor do Brewers. the last couple of years in closer role or setup role he has gotten shelled quite often. The brewers still stick with him hoping eventually he will straighten things out. How patient will Brewers be with Axford. The Brewers are slowing fading away from contentionn. Now would be a good time to bring up someone from minors. I f they can find someone to fill setup role trade or DFA axford.

I hear that Dan Quisenberry is not popular in KC anymore and may be on his way out...

I feel bad for the guy. He's a great rags to riches story, which seems to be heading back to rags. He's a good guy and does give everything he has. I'd like to see him turn it around. There's no way I'd be booing him. Perhaps he needs a new pitching coach.

I kinda hear you but if I were a Brewers fan I'd boo him, too.

As a fan how could you not boo a pitcher with an ERA of almost 10?
