Hoke: Notre Dame 'chickening out' of Michigan series

05:29 PM ET 05.13 | While speaking at a luncheon Monday, Michigan head coach Brady Hoke criticized Notre Dame for canceling its games against the Wolverines from 2015 to 2017, saying that the Irish are "chickening out" of the rivalry. The two teams will not play in 2018 or 2019 either, so when they meet in South Bend in 2014, that will be the last of this series for a while. The Irish are transitioning to a partial ACC schedule in 2014 -- they will play five games per year against ACC schools beginning with that season -- which may be one factor in their canceling the Michigan games.

Now TSUN knows what it feels like. After back to back **** whippings from OSU and a devastating loss in the Fiesta Bowl ND wants nothing to do with us either.

November 23rd / you have plenty to worry about.

Just watched The Game from 2012. Pretty darn close / OSU was happy to get out of that with a victory.

Yoop! Where in the name of Mary's bloomers have you been?!?!?!

Just got out of Winter Lock Down up here in the "Northland". ;-)

Seriously, though, weather here in Minneapolis has been horrible. Winter basically lasted at least an extra month this year.

Just started golfing 2 weeks ago. It's cramping "my style".

Using white golf balls when there's 4+" of powder on the fairways can muck up your game stats, eh?

Got that right!! Calls for the fluorescent yellow.

On the way to the course in about a 1/2 hour.

It's actually warm today. Supposed to be 90+. Unusual for this time of year.

Michigan was about a 3 on a 1 - 5 scale last year (or 6 on a 1 - 10 scale for you Buckeyes). :-0

Talent was not there. 2 guys drafted in the NFL in the later rounds . . . . not good.

But other than 'Bama the 5 losses were not embarrassing and the defense was more than respectable . . . losses were:
(1) Bama in Dallas
(2) at ND (DR turnover fest)
(3) at Nebraska (ahead by a TD DR hurt, Backup QB flops)
(4) at OSU (good hard fought game but OSU better with better talent) and
(5) in Tampa, South Carolina (good hard fought close game, 5th game for Gardner)

May 15, 2013  03:34 PM ET

Well...I guess that's what happens when no else wants to schedule you either.
