Add infighting to Knicks' woes

07:07 AM ET 05.14 | The Knicks will enter Game 4 looking to snap out of an offensive funk with J.R. Smith and Kenyon Martin missing another practice and Iman Shumpert skipping a Monday workout due to soreness in his surgically repaired left knee. Meanwhile, Carmelo Anthony promised to be more aggressive after attempting just 16 shots in Game 3 and despite reading comments from Tyson Chandler that some unnamed teammates were selfish in the Pacers 82-71 victory. ... On Monday, Anthony addressed Chandler's comments for the first time and seemed annoyed that a teammate would call him out in that fashion. "I really don't want to go back and forth about that because I really don't know exactly what he's talking about," Anthony said.

There's no comparison between Melo and Kobe. Therefore,

It's Kobe's fault...

He's gonna drop 36 tonight....on 27 attempts. And the Knicks lose by 3 points.

Despite all the smart aleck comments, he should shoot. He and JR are the only volume scorers on the team. Other than Amare and he will probably only see 10-15 minutes. NY doesn't have many options on offense.

Not at all.

Hypocritical. Same people that bash on Kobe.

Durant was 10 of 27. Not exactly on fire.

That's true. But do you ever see any drama involving Durant? Do you ever see him in the news for opening his mouth or getting into a beef with somebody? You can shoot too much if you know how to do it quietly which is a skill that Kobe and Melo have yet to learn. Not to mention Durant is the best pure shooter in the league and his sidekick is out.

QUOTE(#16):

Melo plays in New York. You are always under the media microscope there. KD is in little OKC. It's not a harsh environment. Plus he lost a key teammate so everyone is giving him a pass right now.

I agree that NY and L.A are bigger markets. But I get the feeling that you could put Melo on any team in the league and he will find a way to make headlines by running his mouth. He's a great player but he needs to man up and shut up and play a heck of a game 4 or the Knicks are toast

Lol.So what are you saying?Did kd CHOKE last night? They did have a 17 pt lead and couldn't close themOr does the golden boy get a pass cause, he's the golden boy?And you say there no drama with kd....yet just this weekend, he called out ibaka , I mean why does everyone make excuses for him?

What am I saying? Melo has MULTIPLE instances of calling teammates out, making headlines and being a distraction. Durant does not. When he had Westbrook next to him I don't remember anybody complaining about Durant taking too many shots. The team is completely different now and Durant feels the pressure to score to help make up for it. He has to. Kevin Martin is the only other guy on the team who can shoot. Melo has had the same team and the same players for the most part all year. Time to stay out of the papers for a day and play like the MVP he thinks he is.

Exactly. They had a huge lead that evaporated.
