Patterson names a Big 12 favorite (it's not TCU)

07:15 AM ET 05.14 | It's only May, of course, but still not too early for many to turn their attention to the business of Top 25 polls, however informal. And these Top 25 polls in May also prompted a Friday call to TCU's Gary Patterson, which is never a bad thing. Patterson, however, laughed when I broke the news to him that in one of those polls TCU is ranked as the best team in the Big 12 for this fall, and in the other poll it's only the toughness of the schedule that keeps him out of the No. 1 conference spot. "It is May, right?" he answered. ... "It's my job to prove you guys right or wrong. Wrong if you pick us last and right if you pick us up high. But me, right now, I'd be looking at Oklahoma State in our conference."

I think we'll get a gauge on the froggies week 1 at jerry's world.

Kudos to the froggies and bayou aggies for their willingness to give us CFB fans a decent OOC game to watch.

He's being modest. They are one of the favorites. Still a young team though.

VERY young if I remember correctly.

No.. its a neutral site game per OT....Thats why I said 43.. its a home game... Lost our entire D and a New OC.. JHill will be kicked off the team... we are doomed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Plus you have to play UF. Doomed!

QUOTE(#1):

I have to go with either Baylor or Texas on this one.

Picking Texas is almost like it use to be picking Notre Dame to win the top spot.. right up until they lost 4 games in a row. Until Texas admits Brown has lost his touch, they will continue to be middle of the pack team.
