Bylsma on information lockdown

07:21 AM ET 05.14 | This time of year, coaches prefer to reveal very little, some even embracing the obfuscation. Penguins coach Dan Bylsma called his lineup for Game 1 tonight against the Ottawa Senators "a non-discussion point," but the team's practice Monday at Consol Energy Center might have offered some clues about what to expect for the start of their Eastern Conference semifinal series. Bylsma employed the same forward lines from Saturday. ... Bylsma gave no indication whether the practice was an indication of the lineup or the alignments for the opener against the Senators -- just as he did not tip his hand about which goaltender would start. Backup Tomas Vokoun replaced Marc-Andre Fleury after Game 4 against the New York Islanders.

This is a NON Story. They all do it. Maybe there IS a bit more bitterness in Blysma's tone this year. The wolves are howling outside his door.

Pretty certain Fleury rides pine for awhile...

I agree Otis....Vokoun would have to do something pretty bad to have MAF back as the starter again...

Don't be so certain fellas. I have a feeling Fleury gets another shot.

I think that would be a huge mistake, at least this soon after benching him. If he was wound up before, imagine how much he is going to be looking over his shoulder now....

I think he'll get another shot, but not right now.

I am not saying it would be the RIGHT thing to do, just saying...

I have that feeling...he is putting Fleury in.

I wouldn't do it in Game One...

Why would any coach want to take a chance on a guy who's every bit as consistent as Lulongo? Trade him to Vancouver in the off season. Let him and Lou motivate each other.

Yep. That's what they keep doing in Vancouver with Lou. Do you want the same results?

I'll bet the Sens are hoping he does..

Sure.

But again, I didn't say I wanted him to necessarily.

I agree. I thinks the Pens are just deciding on the calibre.

May 14, 2013  10:02 AM ET

Fleury is great during the season but in the playoffs since the Penguins won he has not been the same player.

May 14, 2013  11:00 AM ET

He'll be back in net. It doesn't help the Pens were playing like complete garbage in front of him.

The islanders may have also given the Sensators a blueprint on how to play this series, given their similar styles

If Fleury does get the start he will be on a very short leash.

Kind of but the Sens lack their speed.
This will be series where Morrow will need to step up.

Update: Vokoun is starting.

Crosby is a finalist for the Masterson.
