04:47 PM ET 05.14 | McNabb confirmed Monday on his radio show on NBC Sports Radio that he will be retiring as an Eagle in September. He said the team has suggested doing it on the 19th when Reid, the man who selected him with the second overall pick in the 1999 draft, will be there. The Eagles have not yet made an official announcement, and did not return a message asking for a comment. Over the last two years, several other former players have retired as Eagles, including safety Brian Dawkins, running back Brian Westbrook and offensive tackle Tra Thomas. All of them, like McNabb, finished their careers elsewhere. McNabb spent 11 seasons with the Eagles, compiling a 92-49-1 record as a starter. He led the team to six division titles, five NFC Championship Game appearances and one Super Bowl. He holds every significant club passing record, including most passing yards (32,873), touchdown passes (216), completions (2801) and attempts (4746).
