06:19 PM ET 05.14 | The market for free agent Charles Woodson's services has been warming up. According to agent Carl Poston, the 36-year-old Woodson plans to meet with the Denver Broncos on Wednesday, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday. Poston said he also has gotten calls about Woodson from the Carolina Panthers and Oakland Raiders, ESPN's Josina Anderson reported. Vic Lombardi of KCNC-TV in Denver first reported of Woodson's impending visit. The flurry of interest is a big change from where Woodson was earlier this month. Before this week, his only previous visit was to the San Francisco 49ers in mid-March.

And after that, there's a cheese shop opening in Racine.

They're just kicking the tires right now trying to see how desperate he is to take just about nothing to play. He isn't that far I don't think. If he waits MUCH longer he will, but not just yet.

Carolina or Oakland would be bad stops for him. He could be a nice complementary piece/ depth player / injury insurance for a contender like Denver, San Fran, or New England. Some fans in Detroit are asking for him to come back to Michigan, but while they have some talent, they aren't in the list of contenders yet. I think he just wants to win. Maybe he waits around long enough, someone gets injured or cut, and then he ends up back with Greenbay around midseason.

Charles has had a solid career and must have a boatload of money in the kitty, why hang on unless one of the 1/2 dozen or so top teams come calling.

No question Rex, the only thing I can think of is you just can't let go, doing so means you're old!

It would be interesting if he joined the Broncos. There he could be teammates with the guy he stole the Heisman from all those years ago.

Woodson wasn't a good player last year and he wont be a good player this year either, assuming someone even signs him. And there's a fairly good chance he'll enter the season without a contract.

He's old and is somewhat of a liability in pass coverage, which used to be his strength. Not much going for Woodson right now aside from his resume.

Good point. Can't imagine Peyton or Charles would let it be an issue, though.

No, not an issue, just sort of some fun joking between two very accomplished veterans. (Both of whom have SB rings, so life goes on)!

If they can sign him on the cheap, he would be helpful in certain situations. Denver is starting to look pretty tough this coming year. They're loading for NOW.
