Bucks to focus on guards in 2013 draft

02:11 PM ET 05.15 | With starting guards Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis set to hit free agency this summer, the Milwaukee Bucks reportedly plan to use all 18 of their allotted pre-draft interviews on perimeter players. With the looming possibility that the team could need to acquire two new starting guards this offseason, it appears Milwaukee will use the draft to fill at least one of those holes. After finishing the season with the worst record of any playoff team, the Bucks have the No. 15 overall selection in next month's draft. The latest mock draft from Draft Express has Milwaukee taking Georgia wing Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, but other players such as Syracuse's Michael Carter-Williams, Lehigh's C.J. McCollum and Kentucky's Archie Goodwin could also be available with that pick.

All 18 interviews on perimeter players? Revolving door I guess. Ok, lets trade away Bogut, for a guard Monta whom we either won't be able to afford, or we are going to let walk. Done. Okay, lets add JJ Redick, he can back up Monta, then we'll let him walk to a contender. Almost there. Ahhh, now we can sit back and let all the talent drop down to us at number 15 in what is supposed to be a weak draft. Oh wait, did we sign Jennings yet, can't forget to do that. Well on second thought, maybe we can't afford him. I hear the next draft is loaded with guards and bigs anyways, and we'll be right back up to the top of that draft.

Hoping a playoff contender rescues JH#31 from this mess in Milwaukee.
