02:33 PM ET 05.15 | Houston Rockets assistant coach Kelvin Sampson interviewed for the Charlotte Bobcats' head coaching vacancy Tuesday, making him a prime candidate for the gig. Coming off a disappointing season under first-year coach Mike Dunlap, the Bobcats are hoping a different coach can coax further development out of young players like Kemba Walker, Bismack Biyombo and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. Though he's only been on NBA coaching staffs for about five years, Sampson has lengthy experience as a head coach from his days in college ball. After turning Oklahoma into a premier program during his 12-year stay in Norman, Sampson coached at Indiana for three years before being pressured to resign in 2008 due to allegations of major NCAA violations. During his time in the NBA, he's worked with the Rockets, Bucks and Spurs, plus he also worked as an assistant for the Canadian national team during the summer of 2012.

Why would a dirtbag like Sampson get a head coaching job in the NBA? Sampson and ethical are mutually exclusive.

Every Bobcat season is disappointing. This endeavor is staining the GOAT's legacy. Bobcats isn't an attractive landing spot for top tier free agents. Success requires a mixture of veteran and youth via draft talent.

Firing coaches every year shows how rudderless the team is. Jordan needs to pick a guy and stick with him for a few years. Without stability they will always be rebuilding.
