07:20 AM ET 05.16 | Even between playoff series, John Tortorella can serve up biting remarks. The Rangers said on Wednesday that they are turning their focus to Boston. But first, [Tortorella] had a parting shot for the Washington Capitals, who believed the officials favored New York in the teams' seven-game first-round series. "I like where our team is as far as how they handle themselves," Tortorella said Wednesday afternoon at the Rangers' Greenburgh practice facility. "We've got everybody and their brother whining up there in Washington about what happened in that series, and I think that's a big reason why they lose that series. So I just think our mind-set is very good, as far as not letting anything bother us."

Tough to argue three finger Torts.

Got it Torts. Your team was not bothered by all those power plays. Of course, that might explain the Rags' lack of power play goals and why it took them all 7 games to win the series.

John Tortorella telling anyone to stop whining is hilarious to me.

+1

He should have taken the high road and said nothing, but once again, he can't help himself. So, he looks no better than Ovie.

Quite frankly, they (the Rangers) could haver had a few more power plays. Not that it matters, the PP is awful. But tell me what he (Torts) said that was wrong again? You win a hard fought series, only to have someone say the league/refs/network had it in the bag for you and what....the guy as always by the way, (for those not in the NYC area) stood up for his team
The pens fans above all should be more understanding of this, they have deflecting "playing favourites" talk for a loooong time

What makes it even funnier is that that's exactly what he'll be doing all through the series against Boston.

tell you what though....Boston got away with quite a bit against Toronto, though I put it down to horrid officiating, rather than conspiracies and all the rest.
