03:16 AM ET 05.17 | Joe Webb said he was told of the WR position decision on the first day of the team's workouts. Webb has a disadvantage in this transition, being that he has had limited practice at the position in his career. But being a quarterback in the system, Webb will already know the plays and formations of the offense. At 6-4 and 220 pounds, Webb has the physical attributes to be a good receiver. He ran a 40 yard-dash in the low 4.4s coming out of college. The only virtual locks at the receiver position are Greg Jennings, Cordarrelle Patterson, Jarius Wright and Jerome Simpson. The team should carry six receivers on the active roster last season, so Webb will be battling for one of the remaining two spots.

Make up your mind. Either learn more about verbs or invent time travel.

And if you go the time travel route and you're a Vikings fan, go back and tell them that Andy Dalton and Colin Kaepernick are still on the board before they go with Ponder.

I dunno, DD, I think any real Viking fan with the ability to time travel will be heading way back to watch Eller, Page, Larson and Marshall chomp offensive lines to bits. In a happier Minnesota, before Christian Ponder was even born.

Jack Webb succeeded as a Sargent, no reason to believe Joe won't succeed!
