07:59 AM ET 05.18 | There is a lot of interest in the fate of Los Angeles Clippers coach Vinny Del Negro heading in to the offseason. Immediately after the team was eliminated in the first-round of the NBA playoffs by the Memphis Grizzlies, there was some chatter that Del Negro would not be brought back after winning a franchise record 56 wins during the regular season. Earlier this week, there was another report that the team was considering the option of bringing him back. Quite frankly, only team owner Donald Sterling has any idea what Del Negro's fate will hold, and it looks like the two will meet over the weekend as they decide what the best option is moving forward.

Clippers aren't as good as they thought they should be.

Phil Jackson at the Clippers, they would be in the finals. Del Negro lets Chris Paul do all the coaching. Two on two or isolation plays do not win playoff series.

Don't know about VDN coaching ability but the Clips didn't have the roster to do much better than they did.

If Chris Paul stays, this team is still going to be good. If not...

CP isn't going anywhere. He's made and owns this Clippers team. Someone in this organization (not named Sterling) will make things happen to keep their cornerstone superstar in town.

You are so right!!! The Clipps had one good season (this past year) and most everyone thinks they are the team of the future!!! The Clipps should be concentrating on resigning CP and not wasting so much time worrying about Vinny!!!!

Please re-sign Vinny! As a Lakers fan I would not stop laughing. BTW, the Clips will take a step back next year. 3 of there starters are dogs, and the supposedly deep bench was a bust. If CP3 was smart he would bolt.
