07:09 AM ET 05.21 | While Shabazz Muhammad's draft stock may be slipping in some circles, he certainly hasn't lost any faith in himself. [The] weeks leading up to the June 27 draft will be about altering negative perceptions about his character and his game. "Being the number one guy, everybody wants you to fall," Muhammad said last week at the NBA draft combine in Chicago. "Guys want you to fall all the time. You're going to have guys out there that's not going to want you to succeed. That's why I'm going to work as hard as I can to prove those guys wrong. "I know I'm a great player," he said. "I'm a guy that believes he's the best player in the draft. I'm going to tell you the truth."

Good to have confidence as long as it isn't misplaced.

If the Pistons dont get lucky in the lottery tonight then I hope you slip right to us. We need someone who can put the ball in the basket. I think his game offensively is NBA ready just have to work on your passing and D.

You're the only one that thinks you are, Shabazz!

Every player thinks he is the best. No news there. He should have let his play do the talking. Base on his time in college, he doesn't look like he is the best.

I agree with most of the scouts. They say he'll be a better pro than collegiate player.

Are you ready for the next level. Youngsters really underestimate what it takes to succeed in the NBA. It can be very humbling. Didn't show much in college. Will get drafted high due to his past success, & potential.

Not that big a deal given how weak this draft is. I don't see a single NBA-starter material. Alla bunch of role players.

I agree. This type of group is going to tbe the future of the NBA. AAU players who bounced from team-to-team in hopes of getting exposure. Being told that they are great when they are dunking on 16 year olds with acne and a fake ID. Then bailing on college after 1 uninspiring year because they will still have "potential."

This cannot be good for the NBA.

Oh, and Shabazz, you weren't the best player on your own team.

And so does everyone else, believe that they're the best player in the draft!
