Hard decisions looming for B's

07:22 AM ET 05.21 | The issue not as dire as it once seemed, the Bruins blue line slowly is getting healthy. Wade Redden (upper body) participated fully in yesterday's practice at the Garden, while Dennis Seidenberg (lower body) skated for a half-hour before the workout with strength coach John Whitesides. ... Both defensemen traveled with the team to New York, and coach Claude Julien said a decision on their availability for tonight's Game 3 will be made today. Andrew Ference, who has been seen in a walking boot, still has not skated. ... When Seidenberg returns, it would make sense for the Bruins to put him back with captain Zdeno Chara and take rookie Dougie Hamilton out of the lineup. It will be more difficult, however, to get Redden back in the regular rotation.

Good problems to have at this time of the season.

Guess we'll see how the Bs rookies handle life on the road...and you would have to think that Redden really wants to play in MSG!

tough call. the unwritten rule is that you don't ,ose your starting job because of injury...but thosem guys have been great
And i can't imagine why Redden would want to play there (MSG)....except to try to stick it to Sather...a worthwhile goal to be sure
If he does, I sense even Denis Potvin will feel sorry for the abuse he will take....

If Seidenberg's healthy, I want him in the lineup.

I hope your right ....because the last thing anyone in that building tonight will want is anything positive coming from Redden....

With four Stanley Cups, do you think Potvin cared what Ranger fans thought of him?

As long as they keep that Krug guy in the lineup. He was terrific in game 2.

He probably didn't hear anything with the four rings in his ears ;)

Yup...that's a variation from one of my all time faves.

I'm not sure I want Seidenberg back in the lineup. He didn't have a terrific season by any stretch and he looked completely lost against Toronto. Personally, I'd let him sit for now and keep the kids involved.

This here. No one has faltered as of yet, so why mess with the line-up.

If they go up 3-0 tonight it will better to let them rest up and have them available for the next round.

stick what to Sather?

Guy went from pretty good skater to absolute garbage in less than a season. They had no choice but to send him down to figure his life out in the minors.

That's what I was thinking Otis...nice to have those issues

Julien is a smart dude. He will do whatever it takes to win, and keep Chara as fresh as possible in the process.

May 21, 2013  11:01 AM ET

Unless Seidenberg's ready to administer a thrashing to whomever, they're better off riding the energy wave.

it must be killing julien to see a d-man skate with the puck and not just go east/west and then dump the puck deep
