02:16 PM ET 05.22 | The Vancouver Canucks could fire head coach Alain Vigneault as early as this week, according to Darren Dreger of TSN on Tuesday afternoon. Dreger stated in a radio spot that he believes the team could look to announce Vigneault's dismissal by Thursday or Friday. It reamins unclear whether this belief is based in information from a source or merely an educated opinion. His colleague, Bob McKenzie, also expressed that he expected Vigneault to be relieved of his duties. The Canucks are interested in making changes before next season. many believe they will start with Vigneault.

In a way it's a year too late for him to be considered for the Habs job. I'm sure Therrien is safe for next year.

Yet another GM badly in need of firing skates while the Coach gets axed ?? The Cannots roster of signed Players and next years Cap is a terrifying mess. So naturally.....FIRE THE COACH

Painting the dressing room helps too.

Don't forget Flopongo. They should take him with them on the way out of town. He's a huge distraction.

There will be a few teams in a bind next year with the cap going down. This offseason is going to be one of the more interesting in recent times.

Think "Value Village" and "Walmart" pricing for 3rd and 4th liners.

This is totally not his fault! Yet somehow Gillis keeps his job after screwing up the goal tending situation. He was too greedy and was asking way too much for Luongo! He held Roberto hostage and yet Luongo stayed professional through out. Instead of improving the Canucks and giving Alain something to work with.

Gillis did put together a good team for the few years he was there and there is no shame in winning the Presidents Cup and one Final's appearance (one Presidents cup more than my B's). But certainly his belief in certain players and accepting one of the worst contracts in hockey leads me to believe he may did not have the foresight to prevent their current predicament, nor did he see it coming. Show him the door.

They begone 2, or Gillis is next - Twinks and Edler are in for such general abuse, life ain't gonna be all that much fun in bc, no merde.

Or at least separated, another team would be best. All in all Vancouver is a winning team, Per se. Just trippin' over the red line.

He's like a small Indian pacifist. He's Ghandi.

Not a chance with the NTC's. Couver' owns them.

Just on the Luongo situation Gillis needs to fired!
