Vogel rips the Knicks

07:04 AM ET 05.24 | Pacers coach Frank Vogel, who spent much of Thursday taking criticism for his Game 1 decisions, turned the tables a bit, too. And he pointed it directly at Knicks coach Mike Woodson. While praising the Miami Heat's offensive approach against Indiana center Roy Hibbert in Game 1 of the conference finals, Vogel took a shot at Woodson. "They had a more intelligent plan against Roy Hibbert than New York did and we've got to adjust to it," Vogel told reporters with the Pacers in Miami. "It was effective [Wednesday night] and we've got to adjust to it." It's unclear if Vogel meant it as a direct criticism of Woodson, but it's hard to misinterpret his words: he was ripping the Knicks' offensive scheme against Hibbert.

The headline is a bit of reach isn't it? I mean he didn't necessarily mean it as a specific attack towards the Knicks and Woodson. It was more of an evaluation of Miami's gameplan. And you can't really criticize the Knicks when you compare their plays to the Heat's plays. Miami has different personnel with different qualities that New York doesn't.

And I agree with the other comments that Vogel needs to shut it for a while. No reason to make such claims. Focus on your team, give the media the generic answers they're used to, and move on to Game 2. Which they will still lose.

Love it. Can't wait for next year between these clubs. Wouldn't have watched a single game between them next year during the regular season but I will now.

Why does Vogel talk so much? What has he done to be able to talk as much as he does?

QUOTE(#1):

The Knicks had an offensive scheme against Hibbert? They are a perimeter shooting team, living and dying with the 3 point shot. I doubt Hibbert plays much at the 3 point line. The Knicks weren't posting up Chandler.

Chandler is a liability on the offensive side.
