05:08 PM ET 05.24 | The struggles for New England tight end Rob Gronkowski continue: although his fourth surgery on his once-broken, eventually infected left forearm appears to have gone well, the Pats' medical staff is now turning their attention to his back, per Ian Rapoport of NFL.com. Gronkowski has experienced chronic pain in the back for about a year, dating back to before he injured his arm. He intends to see an expert in about a month to check it out. It seems the team isn't sure what to expect.

Maybe he should lift with his legs when he body slams someone on stage at the club.

WOW.. its one injury after another with this guy.. and he's not even on the field

May 24, 2013  06:18 PM ET

He's a great player ,but so is Welker ,and they let him walk.

Agreed, save your back for the future **** flick.

Of course they aren't sure, no one knows how a back surgery will turn out.
Silly story.
And you can bet that BB is reloading as we speak!

Hmmm Brittle... Wes Welker is smaller, tougher and a better player than Gronk. Patriots let him walk.

Thank You, Patriots. BroncoNation is enjoying the new weapon for Peyton. :)

Keg stands can be really dangerous if your spotter isn't paying attention.

You would really rather have a 32-year old Wes Welker over a 24-year old Rob Gronkowski?

That's just homer talk.

Career touchdowns:

Gronk 38 in 3 seasons.
Welker 38 in 10 seasons.

The yards are nice but the touchdowns win games.

I guess it comes down to whether you'd rather have a guy who drops key passes in important games or a guy who isn't healthy enough to play in important games....

XD

I take the player on the incline over the decline every time.

If they are both healthy...most would. Gronk's back is not the picture of good health. And that's scary for a 24 year old.

Just saying.

I would agree if one of those players wasn't also the reigning and defending winner of the:

"Most likely to lose digits in a tragic fart-lighting incident"

Award.

Just been really busy lately. Haven't had much time to screw around.

An important safety tip...

What he should expect is his replacement any day now.
