01:18 PM ET 05.25 | The general consensus heading into the 2013 NBA Draft is that the Cavaliers will select Kentucky big man Nerlens Noel with the No. 1 overall pick. However, that's not a lock by any means, and there are still several other players under consideration for the top pick. One of those players is Georgetown wing Otto Porter. Porter is a versatile wing who is one of the most NBA-ready players in this draft, and the Cavs are in need of a small forward. The 6'8 forward with a 7'1 wingspan averaged 16.2 points and 7.5 rebounds for the Hoyas last season.

Since they will be trading the pick, it might not be their decision on who to pick anyway. They really need some veteran presence. Kaman, West, Landry etc some of the bigs going to be FAs, they need to make a run at them. West could be a deadly combo with Kyrie.

I would take this guy #1 also. That 16.2 PPG and 7.5 RPG is not bad considering those are college games. Games slow down in college w/ 35 seconds shot clock and less minutes a game. Don't take your chance on broken down player w/ limited offense... Bismack Biyombo was a great defensive player in college...

during the season I hoped and hoped that the Cavs would have the opportunity to draft Porter since he is a perfect fit-

a very good versatile defender
a leader with great work ethic
a guy who does not need the ball in his hands to be effective
a willing passer with a high basketball IQ
a solid jump shot to space the floor

this guy is going to a better version of Kawhi Leonard....a small forward that can defend extremely well, run the floor, and spread the floor with perimeter shooting

his ceiling is Paul George...both have extremely similar builds and athleticism- Luol Deng is also a good comp.....

if they keep #1 I really hope the Cavs either take Porter or McLemore

if they trade it- id love to see Big Al Horford get to Cleveland since Kevin Love is not going to happen and I think Lamarcus Aldridge is soft.....if they could some how get Al Horford and a top 10 pick I think that would be a solid way to go- and take someone like a Len or Muahammed or see who might fall....

to be honest- I think Porter is the way to go- and not to trade...unless they can trade down 2-3 spots and get him....

a young core of

Irving, Porter, Waiters, Thompson, Zeller is a pretty darn good place to start from and add veteran talent around- especialyl when one of those vets is Anderson Varejao who is already one of the best defensive centers in the league
