Defiant John Tortorella takes 'some' responsibility for Rangers ouster

10:08 AM ET 05.26 | Sitting on a chair on a black dais in an echoic black room with black cardboard walls, John Tortorella raised his right hand and motioned towards his chest. The season had just ended with Tortorella's Rangers losing 3-1 to the Bruins in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference semifinals in TD Garden, a moment when all the high expectations suddenly came crumbling down like a waterfall of disappointment. "Some of the responsibility falls on me," the Rangers coach said, not as somber as he was defiant. "One of the big things of this series, I could not -- it does, it falls on me -- it's a big part of my job is to get your top players to play consistently, and I couldn't do that. We tried, so I need to take some responsibility to try and get them in those spots to help us here. I thought that hurt us."

Krug had a great series. The Bruins took care of business last night and now it's the Montreal Penguins up............err, I mean the Pittsburgh Canucks up ne........err I mean the Pittsburgh Penguins up next. Sorry about that, it's tough to tell one diving team from another nowadays.

Montreal is the diving team will all the midgets.
The Canucks are the diving team led by the twin sisters.
The Penguins is the diving team with the dirtiest player in the NHL led by the owner who whines when other teams play them tough but reward dirty players on his own roster.

Hope this clears things up.

The Bruins are not above embellishing either. Of course Claude thinks that every high stick is embellished. He was going crazy on the bench because Kunitz snapped his head back when Rask high sticked him. I suppose he thought the blood on Kunitz's face was just more embellishment.

Dirtiest player in the league? When did Lucic start playing for the Pens?

Confusing tough with dirty?

How many careers has Lucic altered and ended with dirty plays?

May 26, 2013  11:23 AM ET

The Bruins won because they are the better team and dominated the series. If Henrik Lundqvist wasn't Henrik Lundqvist every game would have been a laugher.

You can be dirty without taking someone out. I've watched Lucic and if he isn't the dirtiest player in the league, he's in the top 5.
