11:20 AM ET 05.26 | New Orleans Pelicans point guard Greivis Vasquez underwent surgery to remove bone spurs from his right ankle on Saturday, Jeff Zillgitt of USA Today reports. The team said he will begin rehabilitation on the injury immediately. The current timetable for recovery is 12-to-16 weeks, which Vasquez told the world through his Twitter account Friday night. That shouldn't impede his ability to be ready for the beginning of next season, but it could be something worth watching should the rehab hit a setback.
