07:11 AM ET 05.27 | Welcome to the wonderful world of baseball injuries, hosted this week by righty Ian Kennedy. [Kennedy] will not make his scheduled start Monday due to a cut on the index finger of his pitching hand. Kennedy hurt his finger doing the dishes one night last week, manager Kirk Gibson said. Kennedy was scheduled to pitch in one of the games in Monday's doubleheader against the Texas Rangers at Chase Field but instead will be replaced by left-hander Tyler Skaggs, who will be recalled from Triple-A Reno. Right-hander Trevor Cahill will pitch the second game against the Rangers, and after Tuesday's off day, Brandon McCarthy and Wade Miley will pitch Wednesday and Thursday in Texas and Kennedy, Corbin and Cahill will face the Cubs in Chicago next weekend.

what is it about these fragile pitchers, pitcher hurting himself shoveling snow. one supposedly fell in shower. Not to mention mentally challenged pitcher breaking pitching hand punching a locker, and now Ian Kennedy cutting hand doing dishes. Duhhhh.
