Gonchar hopes to remain with Sens

11:48 AM ET 05.27 | Ottawa Senators defenseman Sergei Gonchar hopes to play two more years in the NHL. during his media availability during locker clean-out day on Monday, Gonchar stated he was looking for a two-year contract this summer when he is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent. He hopes that two-year deal will come from the Senators. Having spent the last three seasons with the team since signing as an unrestricted free agent in July of 2010, Gonchar hopes to finish out his career with the organization. He played in 45 games during the regular season and accumulated 27 points (three goals, 24 assists). He averaged just under 24 minutes of ice time per game during the regular season, which included time on the penalty kill (2:14) and power play (3:43) units.
