09:32 PM ET 05.27 | Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator Norv Turner joined the team because it was a chance to again work with his former assistant, new Browns coach Rob Chudzinski, as well as with his son, Scott Turner. The elder Turner wanted to work with Chudzinski because of his approach to running an offense. "We're trying to create a mindset, from an offensive standpoint, that we're going to go attack," Turner said. "Coach Chudzinski stood up in front of our team and if he said it once, he said it 25 times in the last seven weeks, "We are going to be an attacking team. We're going to attack on defense; we're going to attack on offense; we're going to attack in the kicking game.' I want to attack and I want to go, but we've got to get good.

Maybe Norv is back in the right role for him. There have been quite a few very good coordinators who didn't make good head coaches.

I agree. A lot of the Browns personnel seems to work with what he likes to do. A big arm, bruising running back, athletic tight end and some big targets.

I've always liked Norv the coordinator. Nothing too fancy but getting the job done. Then again, he doesn't have Aikman-Smith-Irvin to work with, much less Rivers-Tomlinson-Gates.

One of Alex Smith's best productive year was with Norv as the OC for 49ers so it will be interesting to see what he can do with Weeden or Campbell.

We'll see

I definitely expect them to be offensive

I want to attack and I want to go, but we've got to get good...>>soooooo if "Coach Chudzinski said this and Norv was repeating it shouldn't the headline read Coach Chudzinski instead of Norv Turner? C'mon interns. Your better than this. Right?

Have to like the tail end of his statement "but we've got to get good." Good luck with Weeden & Campbell as your QB options.

Norv Turner + Browns = 0-16.

Totally agree. Turner is just going to have to live with the label of "Great OC, Terrible HC" for the rest of his NFL coaching career.

Big surprise.
