09:41 PM ET 05.27 | Wright is on dangerously thin ice as far as continuing to be a Buccaneer. Sources have told PewterReport.com that even a minor hiccup and the former Brown and Lion will be a former Buccaneer. With that said, Wright figures heavily in the Bucs 2013 defensive plans. As of now, Wright is pegged as the starting corner opposite Darrelle Revis, but may be moved to the slot depending on the progression of rookie cornerback Johnthan Banks. Tampa Bay loves Banks length and athleticism, but also understands he is a rookie and most likely will struggle at times if becoming a full-time starter.

I don't get it. They paid big money for him, managed to get him to take a 6 million dollar pay cut, and now they want to show him the door?

And what happens if Revis isn't ready to go?

I would take a wild guess and assume that the secondary of T.B. is the highest paid and most costly to obtain.

And how many times has PewterReport.com been factual ?

Geez, a short leash? Ya think? One more screw up and Wright gets a full-year ban from the NFL. All the Bucs need to do is arrange for that to happen and they're off the hook for his contract. That said, this is a team that signed Wright after the LIONS - a team in perpetual need of defensive secondary players - let him walk.
