07:16 AM ET 05.28 | Though it's the offseason, it's also the time when the recruiting trail picks up some of its heaviest traffic. [ Auburn's 2014 commitments] are turning their attention to bringing in more prospects, a big part of any school's recruiting efforts. Nearly all of Auburn's prior commitments made the trip to Big Cat Weekend, a recruiting base that produced two new commits in Opelika tight end Jakell Mitchell and St. Pius X cornerback Nick Ruffin. Auburn has built some momentum on the recruiting trail, and the commits that got the ball rolling want to see that momentum continue. "Me, (Joshua) Casher, Deshaun (Davis) and Justin (Thornton), we're going to expand our recruiting and get those other players in," St. Paul's linebacker Tre Williams said.

Can't the REC make one or two of those checks bounce?

Oregon is the school that uses checks. Auburn is straight cash. Unmarked bills. Just like in the SEC's Cheaters Handbook.

Plus, they are training to be bagmen when they graduate. At least they get a marketable skill this way.

No, it's a joke. But like most jokes, the ones with some basis in reality are the most funny.

While discussing violations...

Just read where 0U is about to get some minors because they hired high school coaches to be analysts on their fledgling TV network.

Maybe they should have been less concerned about legally showing HS games on LHN and more about what is a violation
