07:17 AM ET 05.28 | Good or bad, Arizona State will soon find out some significant recruiting news. Desert Mountain High standout Kyle Allen, considered among the best quarterbacks in the nation, tweeted he will name a top five Tuesday afternoon. Allen (6-4, 195 pounds) has drawn interest from across the country. He has scholarship offers from schools such as Alabama, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Wisconsin and UCLA. The recruiting services love him. Scout.com lists Allen as the top prospect in the 2014 class. Rivals ranks him as nation's top pro-style quarterback. 247 Sports has him as the No. 4 pro-style quarterback, while ESPN.com ranks him as the nation's fifth pocket-style passer. Most recruiting experts expect ASU to be on Allen's list.

Pro-style QB are out of fashion right now. If Allen has the feet to go with his arm, then OK.

It will be interesting to notice if his top five are programs that utilize pro-style QBs, or if they're programs presently propped with media glam but employing offensive schemes ill-suited to a pro-style QB, and if where he winds up is among his original "top five."
