07:08 AM ET 05.29 | 'Tis the season for mock drafts, and a good number of them have New Orleans taking Trey Burke with the No. 6 pick. Burke is quick off the dribble and could have the potential to give the Pelicans more scoring help on the perimeter. ... [GM Dell Demps] has not ruled out the possibility the Pelicans could trade the pick to move up or down, obtain multiple picks or acquire more veterans to improve their roster. Sources say the Pelicans like Burke because he has the potential to get them in their offensive sets quicker and he could provide more versatility in their backcourt that could include starting point guard Greivis Vasquez playing off the ball. The Pelicans announced last Friday that Vasquez underwent a successful arthroscopic procedure on his right ankle.

QUOTE(#4):

I disagree...Vasquez is a nice player.I do like Burke, think he's the best pg in the draft......But they have other needs

They do have other needs but (and I may be a little bias here) I think Burke makes players around him better and more efficient. I like Vasquez but Im not so sure you can say that about him. Three years from now Vasquez will probably be a great sub on a good team.

Yeah he is likely to land there

The Pelicans do have other needs they need a SF badly Oladipo probably could probably play the position but he will be gone by 6. The other players on the board shouldn't be picked 6th which they need. They do need scoring off the bench and Burke could give them that much better than Rivers did.

Rivers is already a bust. Never ever draft a guy whose father played in the league, they tend to be overrated. Then there is the Duke factor. Dukies are rarely great NBA players.

Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson????
