LeBron didn't like final foul call in Game 4

03:23 PM ET 05.29 | LeBron James does not foul out. Either it's because he's clever, the NBA doesn't want him to or he's just not the fouling type, the fact of the matter is LeBron James just does not foul out of games. But that's exactly what happened on Tuesday night against the Indiana Pacers with almost a minute left in the game. So, naturally, LeBron was less than pleased with how the calls from referees were handled in the Miami Heat's Game 4 loss to the Pacers. He wisely didn't blast the officials but he danced around it in his carefully placed criticism of the calls that didn't go his way -- specifically the final call. You really can't fault LeBron for complaining because it was indeed a pretty bad call especially given the situation. Typically, the cry from die-hards is to let them play and the officials really should never factor into the outcome of a game unless it's absolutely needed. That wasn't the case in Game 4 and LeBron has the right to be angry.

Cry me a river LeBron. Out of 100 calls the refs make. You get most of them going your way. You know that your the NBA golden boy. There was a time this season that you went three weeks without being called for a foul. Even though you mug the players you guard.

So you tossed out your hip, called for the foul and fouled out of the game. I'm sure in game 5 you will only get called for 1 foul. And you will flop for the rest of the series getting the call to go your way.

For all his talent, James sure loves to cry a lot.

Big baby. That's all he is. He thinks he is special and should be treated differently than everybody else. When is treated like others he cries. He' not as good as he thinks he is. Take away all the favortism and he is just a little above average player. Sure complains a lot when the people who make him look better screw it up for him

Another garbage Fansided article. I don't like the Heat or Lebron, but when you put "the NBA doesn't want him to" as a reason for him not fouling out, you've been standing to close to the microwave with your tin foil hat on. What a terrible, terrible website.

You breathe through your nose writing this? LeBron clearly fouled the player and deserved the foul. This is all preparation for a classic cave to anoint James with a trip to the Finals, because the prospect of Indiana getting there is too awful for Stern and sportswriters to bear.

What a scumbag. He is my least favorite athlete of all time. I'd rather cheer for rapist Rothlesburger than this ****.

Where in the world did all these haters come from???

Whew so many of you commenting on this page I don't know where to begin. First of all, he doesn't foul out because he doesn't need to foul people when guarding his man, this is a known fact which is why he is considered the best two way player on the planet.

Second, if the NBA starts fouling out the stars like Lebron, TD, TP, Manu or any others when a player is flopping thru a screen we will never get our money's worth because usually when a player is fighting over a screen they are coached to flop thru it. Especially Lance, he was flopping all night and it finally paid off.

Please don't come in here and start saying Lebron should be getting called for more fouls because that is just plain stupid. The dude doesn't foul, in fact he is fouled and the call is missed way more than he ever fouls, which is why the NBA is looking into his 5th foul in that game which wasn't a foul at all because he went straight up.

The problem I have with the NBA is how they keep calling these flops. It doesn't matter who is doing it, they need to stop calling them. PERIOD

No one cares if someone is fined after the game is over, we want the games called correctly, if they can't find refs that can't do that, get rid of the ones they have and train new ones.

Fine him.

May 30, 2013  08:39 AM ET

HE IS FOULED WAY MORE THAN THE OFFICIALS CALL? YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. NOBODY COMES CLOSE TO FOULING HIM AND HE GETS THE CALL. HE DOESN'T FOUL? HECK THEY ALL FOUL MORE THAN WHAT IS CALLED. EVERY PLAYER ON BOTH TEAMS SHOULD GET TO TIME TO PLAY BECAUSE ABOUT ONLY A THIRD OF THE FOULS ARE CALLED.

Yes.. yes he did... with a little help from Lost Will :)

I won't be surprise if he doesn't get fine. Usually they get fined for $25k... For the way he harasses opposing players, I'm surprise that he doesn't get more fouls. If you're that aggressive there should be somekind of fouls sometimes.

The Pacers are a deck of cards but I am so hoping they remove the Heat from these playoffs.

May 30, 2013  09:54 AM ET

LBJ reminds me on a kid from my 9 year old YMCA league who used to be bigger than all the other kids. And he would run over kids and throw elbows and hurt kids. But he never had a foul called on him until the finals. And once they called that foul, he cried and cried and cried.

May 30, 2013  10:51 AM ET

As a Heat fan, Lebron does get the benefit of calls but he also gets a bunch that are not even called due to his size.

This thread is spot on though...refs should not affect the end of games and they almost cost the Heat in game 1 and might have in game 4.

The whole "Lord Stern" theory that people have is not proving right so far...and the thought of Spurs/Pacers final is going to make ABC or TNT cringe....

This article was a load of crap!!!

James threw an elbow on West to gain an advantage to drive to the rim. The elbow connected and an advantage was at hand.

Of COURSE the ref had to make the call. A 'no-call' at that point would've unfairly hurt the Pacers.

If James doesn't want to get called for a foul in that situation, don't throw the elbow to clear out the defender!!!
