03:38 PM ET 05.30 | The competition to be the Jets starting quarterback could likely stretch deep into the preseason, but as we approach June and then training camps it looks like we could have an early leader. Rex Ryan says that Smith has been working with the first-team offense in OTAs after having "flipped those guys in earlier practices."

That's like taking 3rd team reps with the 49ers. Congrats!

Their is no first Team on the Jets, theirs only Scrubs!!!

If Geno Smith wins the starting QB job it just shows how terrible the other Jets QBs are. This is bad for Smith too. He is going to get killed if he starts this year. He should learn on the sidelines and let the Jets get him a better O-line and offensive weapons.

He completed nine passes: seven to defensive backs and 2 to his receivers. Just joking, I think?

It's safe to say that even the 3rd team reps of the 49ers are better than what the Jets have

Ok lets dial it back a tad. The jests have some talent, they just have no leadership

Actually, the Jets O-line is one of the best in the league, actually. ProFootballFocus rated them #3 overall in 2012. Skill players? Yes, they are sorely lacking...
