07:03 AM ET 05.31 | Joe Namath, who hasn't been shy in criticizing the Jets, returned to a familiar drumbeat. [Namath] doubled down on WFAN radio Thursday, admitting he hasn't spoken with owner Woody Johnson and some members of the organization for quite some time. "No. No, no, no, no," Namath said on the "Boomer & Carton" show when asked if he was on speaking terms with Johnson or [GM John Idzik]. ... The Hall of Fame quarterback said he was "somewhat" bothered by his relationship with the Jets. But that didn't stop him from firing another round of shots at the franchise. Namath called the Jets "deceptive" and said the brass in Florham Park has "misled" fans about the state of the team. "You know, you've got to be honest," Namath said. "I want to be honest. And I think they've been deceptive."

Joe, put down the whiskey and crawl back into 1969 where you mattered.

"As the Stomach Turns".

The Jets' front office is putting lipstick on a pig, but any fans who are being "misled" have only themselves to blame. Rex's Big Top is the same circus it was last year, although they've traded away the guy who was arguably their best player, and their biggest headache.

Joe might be past his prime but, I've not heard anything he has said that isn't true. Woody Johnson is a terrible owner and businessman, the jury's still out on Idzik, Rex is a joke and their quarterback situation could be the worst in the league.

Throughout all this they're trying to pitch to their season ticket holders and fans that they're going to put a competitive team on the field which isn't going to happen.

Joe's just telling it like it really is.

Even Joes Magic Mirror refuses to talk to him when he asks it " Mirror, Mirror on the Wall who's the fairest of them all " ?

Someday sober Joe will realize, that's not a mirror. It's just a print of The Ugly Duchess that he had hung on his wall.

Someday, Joe will reach out to the J-E-T-S... I have to wonder if they just won't smack that hand away.

Anyone see the highlight of Rex running with I think was the special teams play?

The Jets should give the punting team as much practice as they can. They'll be on the field a lot. The kickoff return unit, too.

I'd rather read another Saint Timmah thread than one about a has been trying to hold on to headlines.
