RGIII takes important steps

07:04 AM ET 05.31 | For the most part, Thursday was business as usual for Robert Griffin III. [Griffin] tested his arm, worked his legs and then did what he's been doing a lot of the spring: watch his teammates practice. But there was progress in his recovery as Griffin was cleared to do some running. So while players performed special teams drills, Griffin sprinted the width of the field with other teammates who were rehabilitating. Griffin had said last week he was two weeks from doing explosive sprinting. Though he was cleared to do cross-field running, he still was not going full-speed. However, he was moving fast alongside rookies Jordan Reed and Chris Thompson. "I was kind of explosive sprinting there," Griffin said.

The game of football is better when RG-III is playing.

No question. But, I watch because he's both exciting to watch play and I wonder when somebody is going to get that big shot on him. It's kinda like watching Nascar and waiting for the wreck.

QUOTE(#3):

Why? All he does is remind why qb's of his style don't work in the NFL

Seems to me they won the NFC East last year. Then they lost to the Seahawks, another team with a young, mobile QB. The Eagles are a better team with Michael Vick than without him, too.

Of course, when that "style" includes missing games due to injury, yeah, I can buy that.

QUOTE(#7):

Oh, his style of play can really dominate a game, but it doesn't last. I'd rather have a more typical qb who can play 10 years as such. Then half a qb be as mobile as RGIII and last 3.

A valid point.

Before last season, I said that RG-III would be seen as the best QB from the 2012 draft, but after 3 years everyone would realize that it was really Andrew Luck.

Face it, though. For a few seconds, a meteor is the most exciting thing in the sky.

RGIII takes important steps. Sounds like a fawn walking for the first time.

Think the Red Tails can get to the postseason using Cousins? Then they could deploy RGIII as their playoff quarterback.

Hail to the REDSKINS!

Even as a Cowboy fan, it is fun to watch this kid.

For his sake, I hope he does not blow out another ACL but the odds are against him in avoiding it.

2009, then another in 2013.....not good....and this is ONLY his rookie season. It gets harder as you get older and people are attempting to take you out.

I'm so sick of the BS. He is nothing more than a rookie quarterback, with one of the worst teams , and coached by a low -life. Drafting two QBs in one year should tell you something. Enough of this crap. Same type of lies for cam newton, and look what he did in his second year

Drafting two QB's only reinforced the fact that the two studs there the year before sucked nails.
