07:13 AM ET 05.31 | If or when the Cubs decide to start selling and looking toward the future, Scott Feldman just might be one of the most attractive pitchers available. Signed to a one-year contract in the offseason, the former Texas Rangers pitcher was promised a real opportunity to become a starter again by president Theo Epstein and general manager Jed Hoyer. "I was thankful for the opportunity to come here and play," Feldman said. ... Feldman may have mixed emotions when trade talks start to heat up over the next month. "He is one of those pitchers that you don't get that excited about unless you watch him over a period of starts," said an American League super scout. "He has really commanded his pitches this season and you see the confidence and consistent outings from him."

They'll flip him for prospects without even thinking about it. After their impressive pickups of absolutely nothing while trading Dempster and Maholm, why would they want to stop now?

5'5" Adam Kennedy charged the mound and the 6'5" Feldman couldn't even KO him...he's a big wimp.

Why did the first name "Marty" pop into mind...... me wonders.......

He's been pretty impressive over the last month or so, 4 wins 39K 2.25 ERA and .93 WHIP.........I don't see why they'd let a guy like this go.

QUOTE(#5):

Feldman is nothing more than a decent No. 4 or 5 starter. If the Cubs can get a decent prospect for him, they better do it.

Feldman, would drop his conssistancy at the mound,,as soon the team trade him,,just wait watch and see,,,

are those cubs are for real??i mean they have been in the winning side lately!!!!

May 31, 2013  04:42 PM ET

now that your team is playing a decent regular season??why dismantle the roster??just leave them alone and who knows??they may get a wild card entrance!!!
