07:17 AM ET 05.31 | At the very least, junior wide receiver Marqise Lee has to be considered early in the conversation. Over the decades, the USC Trojans have produced a large number of standout wide receivers, but only a few could actually be classified as truly electrifying. ... Lee's exploits and ability to go all-the-way in one play has brought fans to their feet like few before him that have worn the cardinal and gold. Lee's 2,864 career receiving yards are Trojans records for most in freshman and sophomore seasons and over two consecutive seasons, and seventh most in USC history (20th on the Pac-12 list). The question now is quite fundamental: Is Lee the most electrifying receiver in the glorious history of USC football?

Trog fans? Who will toss the pigskin to Lee this season? What's your take on the front end of the pass-attack combo?

Boy Wonder would probably survive the season with that, considering the situation. But he'd have the hotseat for sure after that IMO.

Kessler has had the best off-season. I think he deserves a shot. That being said, it's still a toss up on who gets the nod. I see us winning 10 this year. Less than 9, and Lane will be out. To answer the question in the thread??? Yep

Can he stay healthy?

You really think this year will be that much better than last?

And that 8-5 gets LK the door? 6-6 I could see bringing the ax, but 8-5 while stuck with penalties?

Should be an automatic mulligan with Pat Haden. Don't know if SoCal fans would be so forgiving.

Yeah I do. I see a lot more balance with the O, and the defensive scheme will be a definite upgrade. Health is of course a concern.

May 31, 2013  10:55 AM ET

Well, 8-5, would be a nominal win considering changes at QB, plugging holes on the O-line, keeping their new stable of RBs healthy, AND most prominent off all finding the back end of a defense to keep the opponent's WRs from going off... Kessler probably gets the nod over Wittek and Brown, though Brown looks interesting... Would Kiffin start him?...

It's his 4th year on the job, he keeps bringing in 4's and 5's. The talent is there, he needs to develop it. Sanctions or not, pretty simple.

Saints certainly wasted first round draft choices on these so called GREATS at USC. Please stay away until they get real greats, not ones the west coast media makes.

LOL, the Saints have wasted quite a few "first round draft choices" in the past and not only from USC!!!!

8-5, assuming they beat AZ and lose to Cal..those could go either way.
