Beginning in 2014, the Big Ten will be a part of the Pinstripe Bowl, according to an Associated Press report. The league and the bowl are expected to announce a multiyear agreement Monday. The two sides had been working for several months toward this end.

The Big Ten is expected to be matched up with a team from the ACC, though that hasn't been confirmed at this point. Rutgers will soon be a member of the Big Ten and Syracuse is joining the ACC, so the addition of a bowl game played in New York makes sense for both conferences.

But how are they supposed to sell stuff if they don't use the Bowls to promote it? Not to mention pay the players.

It might be entertaining if it snows otherwise it is just a meaningless bowl game in which few people watch.

I doubt if they sell too much stuff at this game.. considering that more than likely its the 7th or 8th place teams in each conference that play at this bowl

B1G has current tie-ins with the Rose, Capital One, Gator, Outback, Buffalo Wild Wings, Meineke Car Care, Heart of Dallas, and Little Caesars Pizza Bowls. Add Pinstripe and that's 9 out of 14 B1G teams that could go play post-season. smh

Win 5 games ---- go to a bowl game. Making an eight or even a 16 team playoff look better all the time.

i don't believe 5 wins would qualify for a bowl invite. unless somehow you finished the season at 5-5. as far as the playoff goes, 8/16 teams sounds interesting. but sometimes you might want to be careful what you wish for.

agreed there seems to be too many bowls. the upside of a bowl is extra practices (spring ball is just around the corner.), recruiting/exposure and hopefully a good time for the players.

Although this is not a new bowl, there is serious talk of adding 2 new bowls. They will start to run out of teams to play shortly, but a 5 win team still probably won't make it. This was said in jest on another T&R.I am wishing for an eight team playoff, but not a 16 team playoff.

got it. love your images. wow.

ROFLMAO. I'm not sure to which religion she professes but one thing that you can say about the young lady is that she keeps her true religion very close "at hand".

What a stunner.
