06:06 PM ET 06.02 | Former Eagles and Redskins quarterback Donovan McNabb thinks Robert Griffin III is doing too much off-the-field stuff, and should scale back to concentrate on football. Speaking to the Washington Post's Mike Wise, McNabb said this: "It's too much right now; it's just too much," McNabb said, speaking from his home in Arizona. "I get some of things he's doing to draw attention to himself: the Adidas commercials, going out and enjoying the life of a young, famous NFL quarterback. I understand RG has a lot of stuff going on. But if you're coming off ACL surgery, you don't need to be having a press conference at OTAs. Every week? Really? It becomes a circus, a sideshow. It takes away from the focus of what those sessions are supposed to be about: the team." Griffin tore his ACL during the Redskins' loss to the Seahawks in the Wild Card round.

Everyone to Donovan McNabb: McNabb needs to scale back all verbal activities.

In other words, shut up, Donny. RGIII is a good kid and is going about it just fine.

McNabb had a hell of a career Mr Yankee fan - 26 titles and... I bet you know little to nothing about anything other than NY teams and very little about Yankee history as well. Havnt isn't a real word there bucco.
Signed, Steeler fan that respects McNabb and all he did in Philly with average receivers most of his career. By the way, RGIII does need to focus and his dad needs to let the Skin's coaches run the team and call the offense.

I'm an Eagles fan but I'm not sure about that.

This is McNabb talking not Jamarcus Russell - let's not go overboard - he had a very good career

What's up with all the hate toward McNabb? He's trying to help.

Not gonna happen. Not in our lifetime. Zero rings. Zero MVPs. Zero records. Zero chance of making it to the Hall of Fame.

June 3, 2013  12:17 AM ET

Oh come on, McNabb. There isn't one person within 100 miles of Washington, D.C. who is interested in giving one penny for your thoughts. Worst. Trade. Ever. And you confirmed it by how well you performed in Minnesota.

Please. No more texts to RGIII, or we're going to make him change his number.

June 3, 2013  12:20 AM ET

Mc Nabb might be heading to Hall of Fame , to watch other enshrines get inducted. That's as close as he will get.

June 3, 2013  12:32 AM ET

Not that I think he didn't have a great career, but I don't believe he will get in during the next 20 years. He burnt too many bridges.

I recall seeing McNabb and his mom on Chunky soup commercials a dozen times a day for about 5 straight years so his talking about RG's efforts in making his bank seem like jealousy.

It's been about 110 here in Phoenix the past few days, Donovan needs to get inside.

In every neighborhood there is that group of old ladies that they have the solutions to everyone else's problems, what everyone is doing wrong, and what they need to do and are not shy about sharing their unsolicited opinions...McNabb is that little old lady in the NFL's neighborhood.

June 3, 2013  07:05 AM ET

donnie-BOY cannot shut his pie hole=== couldn't play the game and now he wants to provide advice and commentary-- Once a philly RUBE, always a Moron,,,,

McSlobb's legacy: Couldn't win the important games.... couldn't get it up....

June 3, 2013  08:56 AM ET

Mcnabb just hatin' because he knows RGIII won't be puking on the last drive of the Super Bowl from being out of shape.
