05:32 PM ET 06.03 | Philadelphia Eagles receiver DeSean Jackson has fired agent Drew Rosenhaus and is considering hiring Jay-Z's Roc Nation, according to multiple reports. In March 2012, Jackson, after his fourth season with the Eagles, re-signed for $51 million over five years, $15 million of which was guaranteed through mostly the first two years of the contract. But Jackson has told teammates he is now hoping to strike a deal with Roc Nation Sports, according to USA Today Sports, which cited a source with knowledge of the situation.

Although I don't normally approve of gangsta style negotiations, I'm kinda liking the image of Drew being dangled over the side of the top level of a parking garage while Jay-Z asks him to sign over his clients.

So Jay-Z is not recruiting clients? Hmm logic says he is. Why fire one of the better agents in the NFL for a new guy? Let's see how Jay-Z does with his clients contracts before anointing him even a good NFL agent.

Ah fuck... every time an athlete changes agents he expects a new contract.

Ticking time bomb waiting to go off.

Although personally, if I were a professional athlete, I'd change agents every year.

The ownership would hate it, the fans would hate it. But the reality is you've gotta look out for #1... because the ownership and the fans don't.

I do like the image you provide, but Jay-Z hasn't been gangsta in over a decade.

Are they starting a singing group in Brooklyn?

Hova's gonna be pretty popular with a certain group of clients. If he even gets a few big deals from this first crop of signees, he'll be golden.

He needs to do whatever it takes to become an accredited agent though. It's obvious they're signing with Roc Nation because of Jay-Z, and it seems like there was strong evidence he was meeting with potential clients anyway.
