07:17 AM ET 06.04 | At 6-foot-4 and 233 pounds, Bryan Bickell is a hard man to miss on the ice, and he plays a hard game that's winning significant praise this playoff season. "He's always had the ability, but to me what's made the difference over the last year or two is his maturation both physically but also in terms of thinking the game," an NHL scout from an Eastern Conference team, who has worked Chicago games during these playoffs, told ESPN.com. ... Bickell, who stands to earn a sizable raise from his current $600,000 salary, insists that his pending UFA status is not something he's focused on right now with the Hawks two wins away from the Stanley Cup finals. "I know after this season me and my agent will talk and negotiate things," Bickell said.

Chicago's management can live without Bickell. If he makes too much let him go. Get a couple picks (maybe even a first rounder) and move on. They blew their team apart before and if they have to they will do it again. Good team play beats a couple overpriced superstars any day!

You talkin' to me?

35 year old movie reference. Gotta get some coffee.

He would fit in well in TOR, replacing Leo the Lion who apparently wants to play in the KHL next year
