Buffalo's Miller to Phoenix?

07:19 AM ET 06.04 | Even in Buffalo, the goaltending market could heat up this summer. League sources say the No. 1 goalie market is wide open with Philadelphia, Florida, Edmonton, Washington, Buffalo, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Calgary, Minnesota and the Islanders trying to decide on a direction to take. Much of the focus has been what the Canucks will do with Roberto Luongo, but he's not the only question mark. Are the Sabres ready to move Ryan Miller? ... Miller has one year left on his contract and the Sabres asked him for a list of teams where he wouldn't go just before the deadline. It looks like his time has passed. He'd like to end up on the west coast. Phoenix might be a fit if they stay.

I heard Pittsburgh was looking for goaltending...or at least they should be.

PGH needs to play MAF for the final 2 games of their season, evaluate what he brings, and use the offseason accordingly.

Buffalo's Miller to Phoenix?

Great, a goalie unwated by his team going to an unwatedteam in their city....a match made just a little south of heaven

I guess to the Ottawa Sun, Phoenix is on the coast. Lots of beach, just not much water.

There would be lots of water if not for (a) drought, and (b) the Dam dam they built near Vegas

No offense Dave, but MAF's confidence is completely shattered. Completely. Even if he can pull out a decent regular season, he is going to be a head case for any playoff run the PENS have.

Now, this could change for a different team if he were sent to one. You just never know. Love MAF, and the person he is, but I want my team to win, and I am sick of getting hung up on this crap every year.

I wouldn't mind Miller coming to St. Louis. If Phoenix can be considered West coast, I think STL can too.

None taken. Personally, I agree with you on MAF. I think he is a much better goalie then he has shown this year, and he probably needs to start fresh somewhere else. I would like to see him do well, and before this year, would have loved to see him in TOR

Throw the Av's in the mix looking for a goalie.
