04:18 AM ET 06.05 | If you had asked me back in February who I thought had the best chance to win the US Open this year, I would have told you, Brandt Snedeker of course. The top statistic as we get ready to go to Merion next week is with a doubt, Greens in Regulation, and until his rib injury at the Humana, Brandt Snedeker had a laser in his bag. Snedeker has fallen on hard times since returning from his injury, one might even say, he hasn't returned as of yet. After winning the FedEx Cup in 2012, the 32-year-old Vanderbilt Grad from Nashville hit the ground running in 2013. In five early tournaments, he only finished out of the top 10 once, and that was at the Humana where he said he hurt his ribs. He finished third at the season Opener on Maui, and finished second to Tiger Woods at the Farmers Insurance, a tournament and a golf course Tiger owns. He finished second again the following week in Phoenix to Phil Mickelson, a tournament and a golf course that Lefty owns, before getting his only win of the year at Pebble Beach.

What a moronic story... I guess since Eldrick is messing the bed and Sergio is keeping his pie hole shut-- Golf Now has to use their imagination to write something---- Hey Golf Now--- there are about 125 golfers who hope to compete at the Open.... last I heard...
