06:55 AM ET 06.05 | If this week is any indication, life won't be dull this season in Philadelphia Eagles country, which on Tuesday found Cary Williams standing up for his decision to skip another voluntary OTA. Williams was blunt and unapologetic during a back and forth with the media outside the NovaCare Complex that lasted nearly 20 minutes. "I'm sorry that people make such a big deal over something so small," said Williams. "I grew up as a kid who didn't have two parents in my household. I definitely take pride in being a father, in being a husband. I take pride in being there for my daughter." ... Williams seemed taken aback when he heard that his absence had drawn so much attention. "Fans, I love you all, but please," said Williams.

Welcome to the TOILET OF PHILLY---- Land of the LOSERS.... Ringless and Clueless one more year in philly!!!!!!

If that's the real reason (doubtful), then he's right. However, the fans still don't want to hear it.

If he's doing this to "be a father and husband," then I'll give him 2 thumbs up.

If he just wants his 5-month vacation to stretch another few days, that's not professional.

And finally, if he just doesn't want to deal with the CF that the Eagles have become, I can understand.

LOL!!!

We all know how this chapter will unfold.

Yes...NO...and Yes!

These "voluntary" OTA's are becoming a problem. More of Choirboy's inept management.

It's called work. Millions of fathers go to work every day for their 8-10 hour grind and are able to fulfill their duties as good fathers and husbands. If his wife has a job I could see why he would want to stay home, but I doubt that is the situation.

Note: If you are a parent with a job, do not do what he did. When the dance recital is over you will still be a parent, but you will have no job here.
Management. Have a Nice Day!

Was that it? A dance recital? Real men get root canals to avoid dance recitals.

The whole dance thing is a complete scam. The recitals mean you have to pony up $75 for each costume, two or three at least, and it's not like it's something you'll ever use again. Your little girl will be on stage for 3 minutes tops in each costumre. And no photography allowed, so the video is $50.

Daughter, three years old, dance recitals....Getting misty eyed here. An America Scene.

He did what he did because he COULD. That's all. If his choices were stay home go to your daughters recitals and get fired or show up and keep your job, he would have told his 3 year old tell Daddy all about it when I get home.

Been there, done that, and I'm glad she dumped the ballet shoes and fairy wand for cleats and a lacrosse stick.

Your friends and family will be with you long after football. That's why you're dysfunctional.

Yeah.....tell your daughter that stuff and see how far it gets you.

And I hope you like your hand because that will keep your warm at night as you sleep on the couch in the doghouse.
