Tens of millions flowing to Pac-12 schools

07:11 AM ET 06.05 | Welcome, Pac-12 to a new day. So we've got the B1G at $300+ million, the SEC at $289M and the Big 12 at $198M. How does the Pac-12 compare? We won't know the answer until next spring, when the conference releases its 990s for the 2012-13 fiscal year. (The Pac-12 doesn't announce distributions in the same fashion as the SEC and Big 12.) But we can take a semi-educated guess. ... [If] we add the $185M from ESPN/Fox to the $68M combined total from bowl payouts and NCAA distributions -- again: these are all approximations -- we arrive at $253 million in total revenue for the conference in 2012-13. ... The Pac-12's $253 million in total revenue would equate to an average of $21 million in per-school distributions.

The problem with the Big 12's $198 mill is that $100 of it goes to the Longhorns, and the rest is split among the remaining schools.

Is this still true. I know that LHN $'s are not shared, but I thought the Big 12 agreed on equal revenue sharing of the network contracts as part of the deal to keep the conference from dissolving.

$22M per school

3rd tier additional per school last year, from about $250k for the smaller schools to about $14M to UTx

TCU and WV got half shares, $11M, since they were assisted in their buyouts from previous conferences. If they would have stayed, full share in Big East for WV would have been about $6M and full share for TCU in MWest would have been about $3.5M

Don't confuse them with facts.

See there, OT, you admitted it. Obviously you're a man who puts his money where his mouth is supporting. Unless you're actually Bill Gates incognito I'll give you an attaboy for this. (and if you are BG then I'll have to say ah bleep in support of the Little Sisters of the poor)

Good call, Colonel

Thanks, Guido, for the facts. Kinda shows Spaceman is just spaced out.

Short memory or senility? Two season's ago ended in a BCS game, one season ago ended with a victory over Kansas State in the Cotton Bowl. Last season was a dumpster fire, granted.

Short-term history has my mighty Hogs not only superceding aforementioned CU Buffalo's, but also your all-might U$C Trogans as well.

How quickly they forget......SMH.....

LOL, WPS !!! My point was you are as an Arky football fan, are ranking on the Colorado football program!!!! Also if you want to put USC and Arky in the same sentence, then you can always Google the final scores of the USC and Arky football games, the last several years!!! The bottom line, is you shouldn't be ranking on a crappy team, when you support one yourself!!! If you insist on going back, then I think Colorado has won a National Championship since Arky has. Hopefully for your sake, Arky will have a better football team this year. :-)

WPS is in no position to sting USC!!!! His Arky teams in the past, got their butts kicked, big time by the Trojans!!!! I won't post the final scores. :-)
