Romo's status for minicamp in question

06:57 AM ET 06.05 | While the Cowboys sorted out who will call the plays, at least the play-caller is set -- though his immediate availability is in question. [Tony Romo's] status for next week's veteran minicamp is uncertain. Romo hasn't participated in the three weeks of organized team activities, but is still attending OTAs at Valley Ranch while he recovers from surgery to remove a cyst from his back. [Romo] was supposed to need three weeks of recovery time. But the Cowboys are going to be cautious with because there is no need to rush with games so far away. "We're probably going to be real conservative there," Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones said. "It's probably unlikely, again, I know I said probably unlikely, but it's still probably unlikely he will be in minicamp."

One of the few times that JJ has made the right decision.

Romo's play is in question.

Long as he's ready for week 1, eh ?

Really? If his leg is not falling off he should be out there. This is not baseball.

They expect everyone to be able to train by themselves in different states, and then somehow come together at training camp and become a football team?

Being a team means being a team. They should be showing up every morning at 0-dark-thirty and having breakfast together. They should study the playbook and talk about it. Be on the field all day, then go out for a few beers, and do it again the next day.

You want to finish 8-8 again? OK, do it your way.

Lots of questions at Valley Ranch - Romo is the least of them.

Jerry has lost his mind.

I'll give Romo credit for one thing, he sure has Jerry Jones wrapped around his little finger. Amazing how recovering from his cyst operation has not kept Romo off the golf courses, or is that considered therapy?

Tell him to look in the back seat, in the pile of clothes.

That's where I found my wife's car keys after she "lost" them at the mall and had to have another set brought from home.

Minicamp isn't the issue. During the season is.

Jerry is doing all he can to ensure there is complete disruption on this team, before things even get started. I guess he'll be giving Jamarcus Russell a spot on the team as his next move.

glad to know romo is going to me "manning like" this year LOL!! and #10 is correct... during the season is this issue!

Romo has the same playoff success as Tebow and should also be out of the NFL.

Bill Callahan calling the plays this season?

That should be interesting.

Giants 9-7, Cowboys 8-8, no playoffs for either team.

Sounds like either Romo was "Manning Like" or Eli was "Romo like" last year. Where's the beef?

Jerry let his wander off sometime in 2000, and it never came back.
